Following the candidate forum, the coalition shared a candidate questionnaire based on the coalition platform with each of the DA candidates. To keep New Orleans voters informed of the candidates’ positions on leading issues, we have published the candidates’ responses to our questionnaire.
Despite our best efforts, Keva Landrum has not responded to our repeated requests for her campaign to return a completed questionnaire. You can, however, find completed questionnaires from both Arthur Hunter and Jason Williams below:
This November, we have the opportunity to create a district attorney’s office that is ETHICAL, EQUITABLE, COMPASSIONATE and ACCOUNTABLE. Together, we can address the issues that for too long have plagued our criminal justice system and usher in a new era of reform. We have asked each of the candidates for DA to join us in that effort. You can learn more about how they have responded below.

New Orleans’ system of criminal justice is fundamentally broken. Locally impacted residents Meredith King, Jerome Morgan and Bree Anderson share their stories and highlight what REAL PROGRESSIVE REFORM in New Orleans should look like:
On September 23, Arthur Hunter, Keva Landrum and Jason Williams participated in a People’s DA Coalition candidate forum, moderated by James Perry, lawyer and former executive director of the New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center. During the two-hour event, the candidates discussed their positions on various elements of the coalition’s Platform for a Reform DA. You can watch the forum in its entirety below:
